This Privacy Policy explains how ScanPro ("we", "the App") handles information when you use our Android application. We collect as little data as possible and are fully transparent about it. This policy is written in line with the principles of the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and applicable US state privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA and similar frameworks).

2. What the App does
ScanPro lets you scan QR codes and barcodes with the camera or from gallery images, generate QR codes (link, text, Wi-Fi, contact), keep a local history, and optionally upgrade to Premium.
3. Data we process
3.1 Data stored only on your device
- Scan & create history — content you scanned or generated, timestamps, and filters. Stored in app private storage (SharedPreferences / local files). Not uploaded by us.
- Settings — theme, vibrate/sound, auto-copy, premium status, daily free quotas, QR colours, optional logo image path.
- Camera frames — processed on-device for barcode detection; not recorded or sent to our servers.
- Gallery images — decoded locally when you pick an image to scan or a logo; not uploaded by us.

- Camera — live scanning;
- Internet / network state — used only for Google Play Billing and RevenueCat to process optional purchases. Not used for advertising;
- Vibrate — optional haptic feedback on scan;
- Photos / media (via system picker) — optional scan-from-image and Premium logo.
4. No advertising
ScanPro does not display banner, native, interstitial, or app-open ads and does not use the Google AdMob SDK or any advertising or consent SDK (including UMP). Because there are no ads, we do not collect or process advertising identifiers for ad targeting. The App is kept free by optional user donations and Premium purchases.
5. Purchases and RevenueCat
Optional Premium purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing through RevenueCat. Google handles payment details. We receive only the purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock features — removing the promo bar, unlimited scans and creates, custom QR styles, and logo support. RevenueCat processes this data under its own privacy policy as a service provider.
6. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract / legitimate interest — provide core scanning and generation features on-device;
- Contract / performance — process optional purchases through Google Play and RevenueCat;
- Legal obligation — respond to valid requests from authorities when required by law.
Since the App does not show advertising, no consent for personalised advertising is collected.
7. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
- Clear scan history in the App (Settings / History);
- Uninstall the App to remove all local data;
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.

8. Children
ScanPro is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Data retention
- Local history and settings remain until you clear them or uninstall the App;
- Purchase and entitlement records are retained by Google Play and RevenueCat in accordance with their respective policies.
10. International transfers
Google Play and RevenueCat may process limited data (purchase status) in the United States or other countries. Where required, safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses may apply under their terms.
11. Security
We rely on Android app sandboxing, HTTPS for network calls made by SDKs, and minimal data collection. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
